Sainz Sr. came under investigation in Dakar for the help of his son
FIA has submitted an official report on the results of the investigation
The International Automobile Federation (FIA) has submitted an official report on the results of the investigation into the driver Carlos Sainz Sr.
Earlier, the judges of the prestigious Dakar rally Marathon, which is currently taking place and in which Sainz Sr. participates, checked the actions of Sainz's son for compliance with sports rules.
An episode came under investigation when Sainz Jr. helped his father close the door of his car. The FIA report says that the actions of Sainz Jr. occurred solely at his will, and were not the initiative of his father.
For this reason, they cannot be considered as a violation, and Sainz Sr., thus, will not receive punishment.
Note that assistance from team members is strictly prohibited on the track. At the same time, nothing is said about relatives.
